Do you want to create freely, with no boundaries? Try clay. It is the type of medium that can turn into literally whatever you want. A pin with your favorite band’s logo? A bright ceramic “Do Not Enter” tile for your door? A mug like the one your favorite character drinks from? Why not! You can also focus on larger art projects, working for a couple of weeks from an initial idea and sketch to a prototype and the final piece, which can even become part of a studio exhibit.
At this age, you’ll also have the exciting opportunity to try your hand at the pottery wheel, learning the basics of throwing and shaping clay.
During these weekly 1 hour and 20 minute sessions, you can not only create but also find new friends or partners for art collaborations. To keep the atmosphere focused and not overwhelming, our groups are kept small, with a maximum of 6 people your age.
All creations are professionally fired to Cone 6 for maximum durability. We use only food-safe glazes, so your custom mugs or plates are fully functional and ready for everyday use!
